Gospel for Sunday, August 23, 2026 – Matthew 16:13-20

 Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi and
he asked his disciples,
“Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”
They replied, “Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah,
still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Peter said in reply,
“You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus said to him in reply,
“Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah.
For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father.
And so I say to you, you are Peter,
and upon this rock I will build my church,
and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.
I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven.
Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven;
and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
Then he strictly ordered his disciples
to tell no one that he was the Christ.

Message from the Heart of God, Volume II, November 4, 1995
I, the Lord, am speaking to you. I, Jesus, desire all of you to listen to my high bishop [the Pope] for truly he walks where I walk. I have set my high bishop to be the leader of my Church. I have given the ten commandments to be the walls of my Church. I have given the Scripture to be the life of my Church. I have given myself in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass that my Church will neither hunger nor thirst. I have given my Spirit that my Spirit may breathe life into my Church, and I have given you my beloved Mother to be the Mother of my Church.

Dear children, to honor me you must honor my Mother. To honor me you must cherish all that I have given you. The Church, my beloved, is my home upon the earth. It is the sanctuary of the most Holy and Blessed Trinity of the Lord God. Every answer that you seek shall be found in the tabernacle. The tabernacle, children, is my footstep upon the earth.

Evangelio del domingo, 23 de agosto de 2026.  Mateo 16, 13-20

En aquel tiempo, cuando llegó Jesús a la región de Cesarea de Filipo, hizo esta pregunta a sus discípulos: “¿Quién dice la gente que es el Hijo del hombre?” Ellos le respondieron: “Unos dicen que eres Juan, el Bautista; otros, que Elías; otros, que Jeremías o alguno de los profetas”.

Luego les preguntó: “Y ustedes, ¿quién dicen que soy yo?” Simón Pedro tomó la palabra y le dijo: “Tú eres el Mesías, el Hijo de Dios vivo”.

Jesús le dijo entonces: “¡Dichoso tú, Simón, hijo de Juan, porque esto no te lo ha revelado ningún hombre, ¡sino mi Padre, que está en los cielos! Y yo te digo a ti que tú eres Pedro y sobre esta piedra edificaré mi Iglesia. Los poderes del infierno no prevalecerán sobre ella. Yo te daré las llaves del Reino de los cielos; todo lo que ates en la tierra, quedará atado en el cielo, y todo lo que desates en la tierra, quedará desatado en el cielo”.

Y les ordenó a sus discípulos que no dijeran a nadie que él era el Mesías.

Yo, el Señor, te estoy hablando. Yo, Jesús, deseo que todos ustedes escuchen a mi gran obispo [el Papa] ya que el verdaderamente camina donde Yo camino. Yo he puesto a mi gran obispo como el líder de mi Iglesia. Yo he dado los diez mandamientos para que sean las paredes de mi iglesia. Yo he dado las Escrituras para que sean la vida de mi Iglesia. Yo me he dado a mí mismo en el Santo Sacrificio de la Misa para que mi Iglesia no tenga ni hambre ni sed. Yo he dado mi Espíritu, para que mi Espíritu infunda vida a mi Iglesia, y les he dado mi amada Madre para que sea la Madre de mi Iglesia.

Queridos hijos, para honrarme ustedes deben honrar a mi Madre. Para honrarme ustedes deben apreciar todo lo que les he dado. Mi Iglesia, mis amados, es mi hogar en la tierra. Es el santuario de la Santísima y Bendita Trinidad del Señor Dios. Cada respuesta que ustedes buscan será encontrada en el tabernáculo. El tabernáculo, hijos, es mi huella sobre la tierra.
