Gospel for Sunday, February 22, 2026 – Matthew 4:1-11
First Sunday of Lent
At that time Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert
to be tempted by the devil.
He fasted for forty days and forty nights,
and afterwards he was hungry.
The tempter approached and said to him,
“If you are the Son of God,
command that these stones become loaves of bread.”
He said in reply,
“It is written:
One does not live on bread alone,
but on every word that comes forth
from the mouth of God.”
Then the devil took him to the holy city,
and made him stand on the parapet of the temple,
and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down.
For it is written:
He will command his angels concerning you
and with their hands they will support you,
lest you dash your foot against a stone.”
Jesus answered him,
“Again it is written,
You shall not put the Lord, your God, to the test.”
Then the devil took him up to a very high mountain,
and showed him all the kingdoms of the world in their magnificence,
and he said to him, “”All these I shall give to you,
if you will prostrate yourself and worship me.”
At this, Jesus said to him,
“Get away, Satan!
It is written:
The Lord, your God, shall you worship
and him alone shall you serve.”
Then the devil left him and, behold,
angels came and ministered to him.

My adversary comes upon unsuspecting souls. He preys upon their inability to fathom themselves within his powerful grip.
All of Jerusalem has fallen prey to the devil. My city of glory is now a city of sin and demonic infiltration. My daughter, darkness surrounds this earth and satan’s tentacles are squeezing all life from the earth. Be on guard, all of you, who would follow in my footsteps. Beware, children, for satan assumes the role of candy to a child. He appears innocent, yet make no mistake, he does not appear holy! For I, the Lord, Jesus Christ, am the “only” fountain of holiness and holiness comes only from me.
Children, you must do all of the many things I have told you. Be diligent in your prayers to the Holy Spirit. Read my Word and frequent the sacraments. Allow my life to grow in you for who then, children, could harm you?

Primer Domingo de Cuaresma
En aquel tiempo, Jesús fue conducido por el Espíritu al desierto, para ser tentado por el demonio. Pasó cuarenta días y cuarenta noches sin comer y, al final, tuvo hambre. Entonces se le acercó el tentador y le dijo: “Si tú eres el Hijo de Dios, manda que estas piedras se conviertan en panes”. Jesús le respondió: “Está escrito: No sólo de pan vive el hombre, sino también de toda palabra que sale de la boca de Dios”.
Entonces el diablo lo llevó a la ciudad santa, lo puso en la parte más alta del templo y le dijo: “Si eres el Hijo de Dios, échate para abajo, porque está escrito: Mandará a sus ángeles que te cuiden y ellos te tomarán en sus manos, para que no tropiece tu pie en piedra alguna”. Jesús le contestó: “También está escrito: No tentarás al Señor, tu Dios”.
Luego lo llevó el diablo a un monte muy alto y desde ahí le hizo ver la grandeza de todos los reinos del mundo y le dijo: “Te daré todo esto, si te postras y me adoras”. Pero Jesús le replicó: “Retírate, Satanás, porque está escrito: Adorarás al Señor, tu Dios, y a él sólo servirás”.
Entonces lo dejó el diablo y se acercaron los ángeles para servirle.

Mi adversario viene sobre las almas desprevenidas. El aprovecha de su incapacidad de imaginarse a ustedes mismos presas de su poderoso control.
Todo Jerusalén ha caído presa del diablo. Mi ciudad de gloria es ahora una ciudad de pecado e infiltración demoniaca. Mi hija, la oscuridad cubre la tierra y los tentáculos de satanás están apretando toda la vida que existe en la tierra. Estén en guardia, todos ustedes, quienes siguieran mis pasos. Tengan cuidado, hijos, ya que satanás asume el papel que tiene un dulce para un niño. Él parece inocente, pero no se equivoquen, él no es santo. Porque Yo, el Señor, Jesucristo, soy la “única” fuente de santidad y la santidad solo viene de mí.
Hijos, ustedes deben hacer todas las cosas que les he dicho. Sean diligentes en sus oraciones al Espíritu Santo. Lean mi Palabra y frecuenten los sacramentos. Dejen que mi vida crezca en ustedes. Si hacen esto, ¿quién podrá herirlos?
