Gospel for Sunday, February 9, 2025 – Luke 5:1-11

While the crowd was pressing in on Jesus and listening
to the word of God,
he was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret.
He saw two boats there alongside the lake;
the fishermen had disembarked and were washing their nets.
Getting into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon,
he asked him to put out a short distance from the shore.
Then he sat down and taught the crowds from the boat.
After he had finished speaking, he said to Simon,
“Put out into deep water and lower your nets for a catch.”
Simon said in reply,
“Master, we have worked hard all night and have caught nothing,
but at your command I will lower the nets.”
When they had done this, they caught a great number of fish
and their nets were tearing.
They signaled to their partners in the other boat
to come to help them.
They came and filled both boats
so that the boats were in danger of sinking.
When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at the knees of Jesus and said,
“Depart from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man.”
For astonishment at the catch of fish they had made seized him
and all those with him,
and likewise James and John, the sons of Zebedee,
who were partners of Simon.
Jesus said to Simon, “Do not be afraid;
from now on you will be catching men.”
When they brought their boats to the shore,
they left everything and followed him.

Message from the Heart of God, Volume III, March 30, 1996

Dearest ones, I, Jesus, am the Shepherd. Truly, if you desire to be part of my flock, then you must follow me. You must be willing to walk where I walk. You must be willing to preach the gospel, not only in your own comfortable surroundings but everywhere. You must always be willing to say “yes” as my beloved Mother did.

When I, Jesus, chose my disciples, I told them they had to leave all their attachments behind, and be attached to me alone. I am the nourishment and drink of the soul. I, Jesus, am the ONLY consolation to the soul. So many of you claim you desire to be my disciples. Then, this I say to you, pick up your armor of faith and drape it about your shoulders. Wherever you go, I, Jesus, shall be your passport. Wherever you go for the cause of the gospel, I, Jesus, go before you.

Sometimes, I, the Lord, will ask people to stay where they are, especially if they are in a difficult situation. Did I run from difficult situations? No, on the contrary, I embraced them for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. Remember, my beloved disciples, the Kingdom of Heaven is in the hearts of those who desire God. That is where you shall find the Kingdom of Heaven.

Evangelio del domingo, 09 de febrero de 2025. Lucas 5, 1-11

En aquel tiempo, Jesús estaba a orillas del lago de Genesaret y la gente se agolpaba en torno suyo para oír la palabra de Dios. Jesús vio dos barcas que estaban junto a la orilla. Los pescadores habían desembarcado y estaban lavando las redes. Subió Jesús a una de las barcas, la de Simón, le pidió que la alejara un poco de tierra, y sentado en la barca, enseñaba a la multitud.
Cuando acabó de hablar, dijo a Simón: “Lleva la barca mar adentro y echen sus redes para pescar”. Simón replicó: “Maestro, hemos trabajado toda la noche y no hemos pescado nada; pero, confiado en tu palabra, echaré las redes”. Así lo hizo y cogieron tal cantidad de pescados, que las redes se rompían. Entonces hicieron señas a sus compañeros, que estaban en la otra barca, para que vinieran a ayudarlos. Vinieron ellos y llenaron tanto las dos barcas, que casi se hundían.
Al ver esto, Simón Pedro se arrojó a los pies de Jesús y le dijo: “¡Apártate de mí, Señor, ¡porque soy un pecador!” Porque tanto él como sus compañeros estaban llenos de asombro al ver la pesca que habían conseguido. Lo mismo les pasaba a Santiago y a Juan, hijos de Zebedeo, que eran compañeros de Simón.
Entonces Jesús le dijo a Simón: “No temas; desde ahora serás pescador de hombres”. Luego llevaron las barcas a tierra y, dejándolo todo, lo siguieron.

Mensaje del Corazón de Dios, Volumen III, 30 de marzo de 1996
Queridísimos, Yo, Jesús, Soy el Pastor. Si verdaderamente, ustedes desean ser parte de mi rebaño, entonces ustedes deben seguirme. Ustedes deben estar dispuestos a caminar por donde yo camino. Ustedes deben estar dispuestos a predicar el evangelio, no solo en la comodidad de sus propios ambientes, pero en todas partes. Ustedes deben siempre estar dispuestos a decir “si”, como lo hizo mi amada Madre.
Cuando Yo, Jesús, escogí a mis discípulos, les dije que deberían dejar todos sus apegos detrás, y solo estar unidos a mí. Yo soy el alimento y la bebida del alma. Yo, Jesús, soy la ÚNICA consolación para el alma. Muchos de ustedes reivindican que desean ser mis discípulos. Entonces, Yo les digo esto: recojan sus armaduras de fe y pónganlas sobre sus hombros. Dondequiera que vayan, Yo, Jesús, seré su pasaporte. Dondequiera que vayan por el evangelio, Yo, Jesús, voy adelante de ustedes.
A veces, Yo, el Señor, le pediré a ciertas personas que se queden dónde están, especialmente si están en una situación difícil. ¿Acaso Yo huí de las situaciones difíciles? No, al contrario, Yo las acepté por el bienestar del Reino de los Cielos. Acuérdense, mis amados discípulos, el Reino de los cielos está en los corazones de aquellos que desean a Dios. Ahí es donde encontrarán el Reino de los Cielos.
